Honey
Believe it or not, honey is much closer to refined sugar than you would think. Yes, it’s natural, but most commercial versions are highly processed. In addition, all honey, regardless of the source, is 50% fructose. The high ratio of fructose will wreak havoc on your blood sugar levels.
Now, lets’ get to the sweet stuff. Raw, unprocessed honey, contains vitamins and has helpful antimicrobial properties. Honey is also sweeter than sugar, so if you did decide to have a little honey in place of sugar, you would be consuming less to get to your desired level of sweetness.
