Anxiety
Anxiety is often linked to depression. Women can go many years without getting a diagnosis for depression and anxiety, mainly because of the stigma that still surrounds mental health issues. The pressures of modern society also weigh heavily on women. There is a constant bombardment to be the perfect friend, wife, daughter, employees, or influencer, and that can cause intense anxiety.
Because of this anxiety, many women will turn to drugs or other substances that are easily abused. These women will get worse, in silence, and will be unable to relief. If you or someone you know is showing signs of depression and anxiety, open up to them and suggest visiting a medical professional.
