Barley Malt Syrup
Barley malt syrup looks similar to molasses, but is derived from a grain. The malty taste of this syrup makes it excellent for baking, it is great, especially in breads.
Barley malt syrup is an excellent choice for diabetics. It has a low glycemic index and is easily digested in the body. When using this as an ingredient it’s important to note that it isn’t as sweet as sugar, so you may have to use a little extra to get the amount of sweetness that you’re looking for.
