    1. Halle Berry — Type 1

Coming in at Number 1 on our list is Halle Berry. It was after she passed out on the set of Living Dolls early in her career that Berry ended up in a diabetic coma, which is life threatening. Luckily, she made it through and was later diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. It’s quite evident to us that Berry did not let this diagnosis slow her (or her career) down in any way. In the years since the incident on the set of Living Dolls, Berry has been very open and public about her experiences with diabetes.

Although her diagnosis was that of Type 1 diabetes, she now considers herself to have Type 2 diabetes since she has been slowly decreasing her insulin dependence (although we will leave the medical opinions to those who went to school for medicine). Whatever she is doing seems to be working, because she looks healthier than ever and welcomed her second child at the age of 45.
