Nuts
Apart from nuts being high in calories, they also have a high fiber content. Because of their calorie and fat content, you should eat nuts in smaller quantities than the other high fiber foods we have mentioned. This can be done by adding a few of your favorite nuts to some baking or by eating a small handful as a snack.
It is important to choose unsalted nuts if you are looking to relieve constipation, as added salt causes water retention and thus, will not aid in digestion.
Fun fact: 1 ounce of almonds contains 3.3 grams of fiber.
