Use Lubrication When Washing
When you wash your hands, you should be focusing on getting under the nails, between the fingers, and scrubbing every cell so that you aren’t carrying around any germs. Yet, doing this will undoubtedly steal valuable moisture from your skin, especially if you are washing your hands frequently.
In order to keep your hands soft, you can apply some kind of lotion or salve, like Vaseline or something homemade. You can also carry a small jar with you in your bag while you are on the move.
Don’t forget about one other important step: exfoliation. Although you do not have to do it all the time, you should consider exfoliating your hands during a wash or bath once in a while to help remove old, dead skin cells. There are numerous scrubs out there that you can buy and try tonight before bed. Optionally, you can make your own. A combination of oatmeal, honey, and lemon juice works wonders for your skin.
