Skin Discoloration
The primary sign of deep vein thrombosis is redness on the area where a blood clot forms. However, this isn’t the only discoloration that occurs when you have a blood clot in your leg. Your foot or ankle may become pale. This symptom is caused by decreased blood flow to those areas. The symptom is associated with extreme cases. It is usually accompanied by a noticeable cooler feeling on the affected area. When left untreated, the area can form a bluish tinge and feel cooler when touched. This is an indication that the clot is worsening.
