Vanilla Extract, Tea Bags, And Other Common Household Items
Other things that you may have around your house that might be helpful include black tea bags that contains tannic acid, which can help to relieve pain in the area. Just boil some water, drop in three teabags, and then wait for them to cool down before placing on the area. Hold the teabags in place with either gauze or a paper towel several times a day for fifteen minutes at a time. Something else you likely have in your kitchen cupboard is vanilla extract, which can alleviate pain. Simply soak a cotton ball in the vanilla extract and apply to the area. Lastly, a homemade turmeric paste made of turmeric, water, and flaxseed oil can also prove to be helpful in soothing burned skin.
