Reducing Exposure To Heat And Sun
It likely won’t surprise you to burn that exposure to both the heat and sun can cause further damage in addition to discomfort. However, avoiding them can be impossible. For instance, think about a chef who has a burn on their finger- chances are they can’t take the time off needed before being back in the hot kitchen near the hot stoves and fryers. If this is the case, it is important to keep the affected area of the skin efficiently covered- either with clothing or a cold compress every five to fifteen minutes in order to limit the chances of further damage.
