No Coffee While Pregnant

Science has come a long way when it comes to expecting mothers and coffee is an area that there are fewer concerns about now. It used to be suggested that expecting women shouldn’t drink any coffee or any caffeine at all, which has sent thousands of women into immediate withdrawals. That is actually more stressful for a fetus than an occasional cup of coffee.

Research has shown that too much caffeine can be damaging to your baby or even induce a miscarriage. Concerns about low birth weights and future behavioral problems for their children stopped a lot of mothers from reaching for the coffee pot; however, it is now clear that a little caffeine is not a problem.

It is completely safe to have one or two cups of coffee while you are expecting. That means that you can alternatively have up to three cups of tea in one day, one soda, or perhaps an energy drink. Energy drinks frequently have more caffeine than the recommended 200mg of caffeine that is suggested to make sure that you check the label before celebrating.
