Find a Running Partner
It’s sad to say, but if you’re a woman and the only time you have available to run is early morning or in the evening, when there aren’t a lot of people around, then it may be safest to find a running partner to go with you.
Also, whether you’re a man or woman, make sure that your friends or family know your route, and if you deviate from this route that you tell someone. This is especially important if you’re hiking in a wooded area. If you get injured along the way and don’t have cell service, it’s important that someone can find you easily.
