Nephritis
Nephritis is the term used for kidney inflammation, which is one of the symptoms of lupus. The inflammation makes it difficult for the individual to filter various wastes and toxins which is present in the blood. According to the Lupus Foundation of America, nephritis may take time to develop, as one could acquire it after 5 years of being diagnosed with lupus. Some of nephritis’ symptoms include the presence of blood in the urine and frequent urinating during the night, swelling in the lower legs and feet and high blood pressure. If you notice your urine appears darker than usual, then a trip to your physician is recommended.
