Hair Loss

The thinning of hair and its eventual loss could point to a person developing lupus. This is due to the fact that inflammation is occurring along the skin and the scalp. Hair loss can be experienced in two ways- one, the patient may experience a slow process of hair thinning out over time, and two, the patient may experience losing clumps of hair falling out as they shower. Hair in other areas such as the eyelashes, eyebrows and beards may also thin or fall out. Physicians recommend visiting their offices if one experiences surprising hair loss, raggedness or hair brittleness in the mentioned areas.
