Soap & Sanitizer Dispensers
Last but not least are dispensers and pumps. Those hand sanitizing stations and lotion pumps and soap dispensers set up in public places (or even in your house) can be a safe haven for bacteria. It might not seem possible, since soap and hand sanitizer are meant to kill viruses and bacteria, but there is a catch. When you go to press down on the pump, the bacteria that is already on your hands has a chance to be transferred to the dispenser.
Some researchers have found that refillable soap dispensers can transfer more bacteria to your hand than if you stuck your fingers into a toilet bowl.
