Dehydration
Your body is mostly composed of water. We all know that it’s important to get our 8 glasses a day. Drinking plenty of fluids is crucial to staying healthy and maintaining the function of every system in your body, including your heart, brain, and muscles.
If your body is not properly hydrated it can lead to leg muscle cramps. In some people, dehydration can lead to lowered levels of sodium and potassium in the body, which can trigger muscle cramps. By increasing the amount of fluids you intake you can help to alieviate your muscle cramps. Stay hydrated gradually, throughout the day. Drink fluids, or eat water-rich foods.
