A medium-sized baked potato contains around 3.8 grams of fiber when you eat them with the skin, which contains most of the fiber. If you don’t like bakes potatoes, they can also be boiled and then mashed with their skins on or baked in the shape of French fries, again, without peeling.
If you’re a fan of them, sweet potatoes, or yams, have an even higher fiber content. The purple sweet potato contains 6 grams of fiber while the standard orange ones contain 4.1 grams of fiber each. Sweet potatoes are also very versatile and can be prepared in the all of the same ways as the average russet potato.
