Swollen Lymph Nodes
Another vital part of one’s immune system is the lymph nodes as they help to fight both viruses and infections. In a report by the American Cancer Society, in people with leukemia lymph nodes are “work[ing] to filter out the ‘bad’ cells” and as a result can become swollen.
Lymph nodes are most commonly found on the sides of the throat, under one’s arms and in the groin area. Therefore, if they do become enlarged they are most noticeable in these areas. “Fullness or swelling of the belly or feeling full after eating only a small amount” can also occur due to an accumulation of leukemia cells within the liver or spleen.
