    Monitor Your Symptoms

Since you are bound to indulge once in a while, it becomes infinitely more important to keep tabs on your symptoms. Be sure to test your blood glucose levels more frequently throughout the day to ensure you aren’t fluctuating too much. It is perfectly fine to have a treat or drink a cocktail once in a while, but the holidays tend to lead to over-consumption of these things—and that can spell trouble. If you divert too far from your typical program or diet, you will start to feel sick.

To avoid the symptoms of diabetes, such as fatigue, dehydration, increased hunger, tingling or numbness in the extremities, and frequent infection, you should discuss ways to revise your lifestyle and carefully watch your blood sugar.
