Mood Swings
Unbalanced hormones leads to mood swings, as you already know. Just like PMS and pregnancy, estrogen and progesterone rise and fall rapidly; and this means you can experienced bursts of anger, sadness, irritability, and depression. The mood changes will often feel like the pendulum of a clock, with every opposite end of the swing being a different emotion. Mood swings can also be brought on by sleep deprivation, lack of self-acceptance, and confusion about what is happening to your body. On top of the stress, the very fact that you are entering menopause could be unwelcome or give you mixed feelings.
While it might not seem like it, menopause is something worth celebrating. Every woman in the world will eventually face the end of their reproductive years, and it doesn’t mean that life is over. Millions of women in their post-menopausal years live very fulfilling lives, and you can too.
In the mean time, you can get control of your life by focusing on the opportunities. Take up a new hobby, join a support group, and do what feels best for you.
