Distended Veins
In some cases, a stubborn clot can show itself on the surface of a vein or via distention in or around the affected area (where the blood clot develops). You must treat this symptom with the urgency it deserves if you don’t experience similar phenomena in other areas.
Distended veins don’t cause complications in most cases. However, a clot can put a significant amount of pressure on other blood vessels causing internal ruptures. When this happens, it can intensify the redness causing bruising among other problems.
