Increased Heart Rate

As the blood clot in your leg increases in size, the body will try to get rid of it. Vital organs such as the heart will work harder to do this increasing the heartbeat in the process. Besides an increasing heart rate, any other abnormalities in the way the heart functions can also be an indication of a blood clot. The abnormalities may signify that the clot has moved from the leg and is traveling upwards to other organs/parts of the body. When this happens, you will experience other symptoms like stabbing or sharp chest pains which tend to increase when you breathe deeply.

An increasing heart rate can also attract psychological symptoms such as anxiety. In severe cases, an increasing heart rate can cause panic attacks. If this symptom is left unchecked, it can cause many other health problems, so it’s important to see a doctor immediately.
