Fever
When a blood clot in your leg detaches and starts moving upwards, it can cause low-grade fever. Besides elevating your body temperature, the clot may attract other symptoms like shivering and sweating. You can also experience body weakness, persistent headaches, diminished appetite, and dehydration.
In severe cases, fever may be accompanied by other symptoms like mood disturbances and irritability, convulsions, confusion or even hallucinations. The symptoms tend to occur when the core temperature of the body reaches an abnormally high range (39.4 to 41.1 degrees Celsius or 103 to 106 degrees Fahrenheit).
