Loss of Smell

Impaired or lost sense of smell is also among the early signs of Parkinson’s. This symptom is known as anosmia. According to the NHS, anosmia occurs earlier (years before) other symptoms. As the dopamine-producing cells responsible for transmitting signals between the nerves, muscles and the brain die off; signals on odor aren’t transmitted impairing a person’s sense of smell.
