Voice changes
Parkinson’s affects movement in many ways including how a person speaks. You may be familiar with slurred speech among advanced Parkinson’s disease patients. During the onset, the voice changes are less dramatic. The enunciation tends to remain clear during the onset; however, a person can start speaking more quietly unintentionally. Other voice changes include voice hoarseness or speaking with little inflection.
