Oranges
There is more to oranges than a day’s worth of vitamin C. After all, vitamin C is much more than an immune system booster. In fact, vitamin C plays a key role in your mental health by preventing age-related cognitive decline. According to a 2014 study, a diet that is rich in vitamin C will protect against mental decline and Alzheimer’s disease.
Since you won’t be getting sick as often, you also defend yourself against stress and free radical damage to the brain. If you don’t like oranges, you can get vitamin C from guava, kiwi, tomatoes, strawberries, lemons, limes, and bell peppers. Avoid drinking orange juice, however, since that has less vitamin C and way too much sugar to be healthy.
