Skin Spots
Gallbladder problems are also known to cause skin problems such as brown or black spots on the skin, mostly on the forehead (under the eyes and between the eyebrows). The spots can also affect the hands and lips. These spots are commonly known as liver spots. The gallbladder and liver are intimately connected. The liver produces bile while the gallbladder stores and secretes it. A blockage in the gallbladder (caused by gallstones) can interfere with proper liver function since overflowing bile usually finds its way to the liver. When the liver can’t perform critical bodily functions like detoxification, the effects are manifested as skin problems.
