Beneficial Uses for Apple Cider Vinegar

Dandruff is more common than people like to admit, especially during the colder months. Part of the reason dandruff forms is too much yeast, which can grow rapidly when pH levels are not balanced. The acetic acid in vinegar can help keep your scalp’s pH level stable, stopping flakes, itchiness, and irritation.

Make an anti-dandruff treatment by taking ¼ cup of water and ¼ cup apple cider vinegar and mix them together. Pour the solution into a spray bottle then mist your scalp. Leave the solution on your head for about 15 minutes before rinsing it out in the shower. The best results are seen when used two times a week. Keep the solution away from your eyes, since it can be acidic.

If you have colored or permed hair, you should consult with a hair stylist first. The acidity of ACV may affect dyes and other treatments.
