Early Detection Is Important
Early detection is critical in the prevention of long term or permanent damage caused by amblyopia. Complications arise if lazy eye does not get detected and properly treated. Some issues include central vision problems, which can impact the person’s ability to complete certain tasks.
If strabismus is the cause of the lazy eye, the turn of the eye can become permanent. Since lazy eye treatments become increasingly more complicated as the eye ages, strive for detection before the child turns seven years old.
