Practice Gratitude
Positivity stems from gratitude. Those who are grateful focus less on the pitfalls of life and more on the experiences that await, good or bad. For those who practice gratitude, every waking moment is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, even when the skies are gray. But how do you practice gratitude?
Well, the first habit to break is to stop comparing yourself to others. Don’t think about what they did, when they did it, and how they did it. Focus on you and what you can do today that will better your tomorrow. Next, take 5-10 minutes a day to be thankful for what you have. Look at your life. Note all the wonderful things—relationships, shelter, food, love, warmth.
You can even create a gratitude page in a journal to answer the question, “What am I grateful for today?”
