Don’t Spend It All
Most Millennials don’t have a single investment or savings fund. Are you one of them? Now, this isn’t about harping on you to forgo avocado toast and overpriced coffee.
Still, you should be taking some of your money, whether it’s 10-percent or 30-percent of your income and squirreling it away for an emergency. Or for your future. You should also think about the expenses that you don’t truly need. Make coffee and lunch at home. Carpool. Workout at home. Stop smoking or drinking excessive amounts of alcohol.
There’s a plethora of ways for you to cut down on frivolous spending and start saving up for the life you want today. The first step is getting into the habit of asking yourself, “Do I need this or do I want this?” For example, if you need new sneakers because yours have holes in the soles, then yes, you buy the shoes; but if you’re buying another pair of Nikes just because they look fancy, you’re wasting money.
And that sums up the 10 small habits that have a huge return on life. While the actions are small and simple, such as reading or writing notes in a journal, what you get from these habits is significant. You will become a better thinker and a healthier, happier person overall. You will be inspired continuously by the would around you. And when that happens, you will be doing everything not because you feel obligated to, but because you are simply enjoying all that life has to offer.
