Be Mindful
Going along with the practice of gratitude, kindness, and compassion, is the habit of being present in the moment. You can create the habit of mindfulness by taking one moment every day and putting all of your awareness into that. You might choose to meditate or be mindful while eating (useful when you’re on a diet) or while listening to music or going for a walk. Take in everything that is happening during this selected period. Block out all thoughts of the past and future—and realize that future-oriented thinking isn’t always going to help you.
If you’re constantly looking into the distance, you’re going to miss what is happening right in front of you.
