Nausea
You may also start feeling nauseous before you get the signature shingles rash. Nausea is usually accompanied by a persistent stomach upset that can be easily labeled as normal i.e. originating from something you ate, but the nausea slowly progresses causing a flu-like syndrome clearly showing you are unwell. The nausea may be accompanied by vomiting and diarrhea in rare cases. The most distinctive aspect of shingles-related nausea is; the nausea, as well as flu-like symptoms, don’t raise the body temperature like typical flu.
