    Bloody Phlegm

It is never a good sign if you cough into a tissue and see blood. Fortunately, bloody phlegm is not always an indicator of lung cancer; however, it could be a sign that another health condition is to blame, such as tuberculosis. If you happen to notice that your phlegm is bloody speak to your doctor, especially if you happen to experience one of the other symptoms listed here. This is true even if there is only a small amount of blood in your phlegm (no amount is an “okay” amount). If you happen to cough up a large amount of blood, seek medical help right away ( do not wait to see your family doctor in a day or two).
