Chest Pain
Another sign of lung cancer is pain in the chest that is best described as being felt deep within the lungs. This pain usually worsens when the individual does any sort of heavy lifting, laughs, or coughs. Therefore, if you experience a pain in the chest that is persistent then inform your doctor and they can make sure that the appropriate tests are conducted. The pain is caused by the tumour that is developing in the area and the resulting pressure that is put on the surrounding tissues and nerve endings. Unfortunately, if the cancer is not caught soon enough it can spread to other areas, and result in more pain. This is most common in the bones in surrounding areas such as in the back and/or hips.
