Unintentional Weight Loss
Although sudden weight loss is a common symptom of many health issues, it is often also associated with colon cancer. Often, sufferers of the pain and discomfort mentioned above avoid eating as much as they are used to or as much as they would like and this results in a drop in weight. This choice to avoid eating as much is not always a conscious decision is it isn’t always the case that the individual is making an active decision to eat less. In the cases that pain and discomfort is caused by colon cancer, a decreased intake of food makes the situation even more grave as they are likely already not processing fiber and other essential nutrients.
So if you find that you are not eating as much as usual due to discomfort or pain or that you have experienced weight loss without any lifestyle changes then talk to your doctor as soon as you can.
