Get Enough Sleep
Most of us do not consider adequate sleep as an essential facet of our health. However, rest is necessary in order to maintain a high immune system. The body manufactures cytokines, a hormone that allows the immune system to be functional. This means a lack of enough sleep predisposes us to germs and infections due to lowered cytokines in the body.
Adequate sleep every day serves to ensure your body has a sufficient production of cytokines, which will boost the immune system. Make your bedroom a conducive environment for sleeping. You can do this by removing all electronics in the room, putting on some soothing music, normalizing your sleep patterns, and darkening your room. You can also exercise or shower before going to bed to ensure that you get quality sleep.
What’s more, having adequate sleep will ensure that your immune system is strong enough to fight disease-causing germs. Good immunity protects you from contracting diseases, which in turn prevents you from spreading disease-causing pathogens to others in the office.
