Be Adaptable
It is important to be adaptable and change with the ever-changing needs of your child/children. For instance, if your child is acting in a certain way or not listening to a specific rule it could be that they no longer need that guideline in place. Therefore, it is essential that you pay close attention to your child’s behaviours and examine whether or not it is time to change your expectations of them. This is especially true when a child is a pre-teen or in the early years of adolescence. Moreover, if your child is in a place where they are not succeeding, it might be more helpful to find other solutions than to try and continue doing what you have done in the past.
