Brief History and Overview: The Paleo Diet
The Paleolithic or Paleo diet can be traced back to a book by gastroenterologist, Walter Voegtlin. The book was however popularized by Loren Cordain in his bestselling book titled “The Paleo Diet”. According to Cordain, the diet is a daily calorie count that consists of 55% lean meat and seafood, 15% fresh fruits, 15% vegetables and 15% nuts & seeds.
