Inability to Exercise

COPD can make exercising impossible. It takes serious commitment and energy to work out for most people. When you have COPD, working out is way harder. This symptom is linked to difficulties in breathing. A person with COPD already has breathing problems under normal circumstances. When you introduce exercise into the equation, breathing can become impossible.

Although exercising seems counterintuitive initially, when done gradually, it helps to eliminate a variety of symptoms of chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Exercise strengthens the muscles, lungs, and airways. Please note that COPD sufferers are not supposed to engage in strenuous, but simple movements like slow paced walks on a daily basis to build muscle strength.
