Marshmallows
Yes, you read that right. Although the evidence for the benefit of eating marshmallows on soothing a sore throat is inconclusive, some research has found that the gelatin that is found in marshmallows can actually help to soothe a sore throat.
Another source of relief may be the root that is used to make marshmallows which some argue can lessen inflammation. Although the jury is still out, it can’t hurt to try this “treatment” (unless you are vegan or allergic to them). This could also be an excuse to eat this sweet treat and possibly elevate your mood when you’re not feeling the best. So give it a whirl.
