Shortness of Breath
Do you struggle to catch your breath after even mild or moderate activity? Do you often find you are taking more shallow and rapid breaths than the people around you? People who have low hemoglobin often feel like they are out of breath, struggling to get enough air.
When your blood cannot carry enough oxygen to supply your cells, you will always feel that you are short of breath. Although there are many reasons to feel this way, such as asthma, newly feeling this way is always a red flag. You should be able to climb a flight of stairs without feeling like you’ve climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. Anything else is a red flag that something is very, very wrong with your health.
