Fatigue
Fatigue is a sign for multiple diseases and medical conditions, especially as a precursor. With Meniere’s disease, the fatigue you feel happens after a flare up. Think about the onset of the fatigue you feel. Did it come after an attack of any other symptoms on this list? Lethargy often occurs once more severe symptoms subside. However, it has been found that those with Meniere’s disease are also more vulnerable to feelings of fatigue and sleepiness.
Another hypothesis is that fatigue is also the root of many flare ups, especially fatigue related to stress. This is why many doctors recommend treating Meniere’s disease with both prescription medications and lifestyle changes. You may have to take a long look at your lifestyle and make adjustments. For example, if your work-life balance is poor, you may be losing sleep or over-exerting yourself. When that happens, you tax your system.
Be sure that when you go to the doctor that you discuss what you have been feeling before, during, and after flare ups or even the frequency of your symptoms. Let them know when you feel the most fatigued as well, because that will help with the diagnosis.
