Camping
People do not spend enough time outside these days. Everyone wants to stay inside in the evening with their phones, tablets, and computers. Put down the electronics for a weekend to head outside. Camping can be done for cheap or free, depending on where you plan on pitching your tent. You might choose your backyard, so you don’t have to leave the comforts of home completely behind, or you can head to a local state park to truly get a breath of fresh air.
Camping gives you the opportunity to reconnect with your family, to sit around a campfire, cook food, go fishing, swimming, hiking, and tell one another stories from the sleeping bags or hammocks in the middle of the night. Kids who love the outdoors will be filled with a love of nature. Even those who aren’t big on camping will find themselves more relaxed once they are detached from their electronics.
