Foods You Should Never Eat After Age 30

Artificial Sweeteners

You might think that switching to Splenda, Equal or Sweet and Low will help you cut out the sugar, right? Wrong. Artificial sweeteners are worse for you than raw sugar. The reason is that many artificial sweeteners are chemically synthesized using simple carbohydrates like sucrose and fructose. Splenda has been linked to cancer, too. Most are 300-1000 times sweeter than natural sugar. This overload of sweetness will confuse your brain, and it will produce more insulin to deal with the influx of sugar that it isn’t receiving, thus causing an overload of insulin. This imbalance will also make you feel hungrier than you really are, and you end up eating more calories than you had originally planned to consume.

This list is just a small fraction of foods that you should avoid. There are thousands of choices in the grocery store, but only a tiny amount should ever make it into your basket. The important thing to take away from this list is that you want to avoid too much sugar, trans fat, chemicals, and simple carbohydrates once you turn 30—but you can start even when you are younger than 30. Enjoy home cooked meals and wholesome ingredients more, and you will life a long, fruitful life.
