Change of Interests
Addiction takes attention from everything else except the source of addiction. A person’s focus shifts to fulfilling their addiction regardless of the costs. Addicts are prone to losing interest in things they loved doing. They replace their past interests with one overpowering behavior which is most likely linked to addiction. Addictive substances take priority over everything else and in most cases; other social engagements are avoided if the substance is not present.
