Seizures
Masses in our brains can affect the electrical activity and ultimately result in seizures. In fact, this is one of the most common symptoms of tumors in this area. More than half of people with brain tumors will have at least one seizure.
The different regions of our cerebrum communicate mainly by electrical activity passed between different neurons. When these neurons are compressed, the electrical signals can get out of control and lead to loss of consciousness and uncontrolled movement, also known as a seizure.
Seizures also can be caused by other issues. However, any new seizures are always a cause for concern. If you or a loved one have a seizure, emergency medical care is essential.
