Ear Ringing
Our brains are responsible for processing all sensory input. If there are tumors in these delicate tissues, we may not process as clearly as usual. One of the most common signs of tumors in regions that process sound is hearing noises that are not actually present. This could be ringing, buzzing, or other unwanted sounds.
The temporal lobe is an area on the sides of our cerebrum that is mainly responsible for processing sound. This is the area where tumors are most likely to produce unusual noises. Tumors in this area also can cause hearing loss, muffled noises, or an inability to process words. Regardless of the specifics, any changes in hearing should warrant a trip to the doctor.
