Eating Schedule
If your eating schedule is out of whack or lacks routine, your natural rhythm will be upset—and that can cause gastrointestinal discomfort throughout the night.
If you eat right before going to bed, you might wake up gassy or bloated. If you drink too much, you will have to run to bathroom at midnight. Avoid foods at nighttime that will cause your blood sugar to crash, as well. If your blood sugar takes a nose dive overnight, your body will respond will a dose of adrenaline and cortisol, cutting off melatonin production.
