Being a workaholic
Working is a means to an end, whether it is a 9 to 5 or your running your own business. Bills get paid and you can get the nice things money can buy. But there is a danger in becoming a workaholic. Overworking can take a toll on physical and mental health and lead to exhaustion or high levels of stress. When you’re stressed and fatigued it is difficult to deal with problems in a healthy and rational way.
Working excessively also leaves you little or no time to build physical and emotional intimacy between you and your partner. In fact, one or both partners working more than the standard 40 hours a week is a leading cause of breakups. Date nights and time with family get pushed into the backseat. Before you know it, your partner gets fed up and leaves!
