Myth 2: You Cannot Eat Desserts if You Are Diabetic
There is no such thing as “diabetic foods”. Dieticians and nutritionists who specialize in diabetes will tell you that there is no food that is forbidden if you are diabetic, as long as sensible decisions are made about how often and how much of these foods are consumed.
An occasional drink or dessert is completely okay, just don’t overdo it – everything in moderation. However, if you do enjoy some sweetness in your coffee, tea or a soda using a sugar substitute is a good choice for more frequent indulgencies.
